surprisingly, this is still home. this is still comforting. holding my breath as i cross the golden gate’s “marin county line,” the winding redwood highway, the quick glances to my right side to see the city skyline and the boat speckled ocean. yes, i belong here and i will get back here one day, when the time is right.
